What Happens in Hypnotherapy                                                                            Back

The Hypnotherapist talks with you to help uncover and frame exactly what you want to change or create. The Hypnotherapist guides you into a trance state to purposely connect mind-body and allow conscious and subconscious mind to communicate. In this state, the Hypnotherapist helps you find the resources needed to access subconscious attitudes, feelings, and beliefs that shape conscious thought. Old thoughts and feelings are replaced with positive suggestions which you create in your words.

These suggestions are phrased in a manner that is mostly effectively understood by the subconscious mind. This supports the change of negative attitudes and opens the door to your being able to learn how to transcend limiting circumstances and dysfunctional structures and, consequently, realize your deepest goals.

You learn through Relaxation, Repetition, Reframing, and Reinforcement.

Relaxation: By learning through Relaxation you can become receptive to new and helpful

                      suggestions.

Repetition: Through Repetition you can restructure negative attitudes and feelings and create a

                      more positive perspective.

Reframing: In Reframing you use new information and suggestions to change your conscious

thinking and integrate lasting positive change into your life.

Reinforcement: With Reinforcement you practice applying positive suggestions.

You are taught self-hypnosis as a life-long skill that can help ensure continued control of your own life and develop the ability to cope with outside obstacles with confidence.
